1987年，美國必能信超聲波（亞太）有限公司在香港成立。作為必能信在亞太地區的總部，香港必能信管理著包括中國大陸、新加坡、臺灣、泰國、馬來西亞、印度、印尼和菲律賓等地區的銷售業務。1989年，臺灣必能信成立。
1993年，必能信來到中國，成立了必能信超聲（上海）有限公司。時至今日上海必能信擁有員工300人左右，是必能信在亞洲最大的生產和銷售配套服務基地，也是國內最大的綜合性超聲設備生產和技術開發企業。多年以來，上海必能信持續改進生產工藝、嚴格控制產品質量、引進先進的國外技術和科研人員為中國企業提供與世界同步的產品和服務。上海必能信多次被上海市政府評為外商投資先進技術企業和高新技術企業并相繼在2003年和2004年通過了嚴格的ISO9001和ISO14001管理體系認證。
